Jake Fisk is a multidisciplinary artist and educator, working across ceramics, drawing and sculpture, approaching each discipline with the same intrigue. working physically immersed in the properties and limitations of working between the different materials. His works are reactive, aiming to situate themselves at the intersection of sculpture, space, flatness and figuration blending and overlap between his mediums. Carrying his approach to clay into his drawings and the ideas of drawing into his sculpture with emphasis on the emotional and tactile experience. Process and feeling are central to both his questioning and making. Recently he has been exploring the materiality of clay, stone, colour, drawing and place and their malleability and immediacy in connection to the body.
